Store Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Store Manager to oversee daily operations at our retail location. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for customer service, and a proven track record in retail management. This role requires effective team management, inventory control, and the ability to drive sales while ensuring an exceptional shopping experience for our customers.

Duties

• Lead and manage store operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Supervise and train staff, fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional development.
• Oversee inventory management, including ordering, stocking, and conducting regular audits to maintain optimal stock levels.
• Implement effective merchandising strategies to maximize sales and enhance the customer experience.
• Manage payroll, budgeting, and financial reporting to ensure profitability of the store.
• Conduct interviews and recruit new team members while providing employee orientation and ongoing training.
• Utilize strong negotiation skills to manage vendor relationships and purchasing decisions.
• Ensure high standards of customer service are maintained by addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
• Monitor sales performance metrics and develop strategies for improvement through effective sales management techniques.
• Maintain accurate records of cash handling, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks related to store operations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in retail management or as an assistant manager with a strong understanding of retail operations.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively; bilingual or multilingual capabilities are a plus.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in retail math, POS systems, inventory control, and merchandising principles.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in training & development of staff members.
• Knowledge of budgeting processes and financial management within a retail context is essential.
• Familiarity with grocery store operations is preferred but not required.
• Ability to handle cash accurately and efficiently while maintaining integrity in all transactions.
