Position Summary

The ERP Administrator plays a key role in supporting enterprise systems and business operations by maintaining, enhancing, and optimizing the organization's ERP and related applications. This position collaborates closely with business units to provide reliable data insights and system functionality that enable informed decision-making across departments. The role requires a strong foundation in RPG programming, relational databases, and ERP administration within a manufacturing or enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

ERP Development & Support:

  • Provide technical programming and administrative support for the organization's ERP system, ensuring consistent performance, data accuracy, and process efficiency.

System Upgrades & Maintenance:

  • Assist in upgrading and maintaining ERP and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) to ensure stability, scalability, and compliance with current business and technology standards.

EDI Configuration & Support:

  • Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) integrations with customers, vendors, and third-party systems.

System Monitoring & Operations:

  • Monitor system health, respond to server or application messages, and ensure timely execution of end-of-day (EOD) and end-of-month (EOM) procedures.

Database Management:

  • Utilize relational database principles to query, analyze, and optimize data structures supporting enterprise operations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Partner with IT leadership and departmental stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities, streamline workflows, and implement system enhancements aligned with business objectives.

Documentation & Process Control:

  • Maintain technical documentation, update configuration records, and support compliance and audit readiness through accurate system reporting.

Other Duties:

  • Perform additional related responsibilities as required to support IT operations and business continuity.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 3–5 years of experience in ERP administration or development, preferably with RPG programming on IBM i (AS/400) platforms.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases (DB2 or equivalent).
  • Experience managing ERP upgrades, patches, and integrations.
  • Familiarity with EDI setup and troubleshooting.
  • Solid problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Experience

  • Prior experience with manufacturing or production-based ERP systems.
  • Exposure to MES platforms and process automation.
  • Knowledge of data extraction and reporting tools.
