Retail Sales/Listing Associate

Job Overview
Sell Your Gadgets is a fast paced, high volume electronics store that buys, sells, and trades a wide variety of consumer electronics (phones, tablets, laptops, game systems, cameras, etc).

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales/Listing Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. You will also be generating eCommerce listings for our web store and other eAuction sites.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored product recommendations.
• Utilize upselling techniques to enhance customer purchases and increase sales.
• Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately while ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Maintain an organized and visually appealing sales floor by restocking merchandise and managing inventory levels.
• Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits, driving sales through effective communication.
• Assist in supervising junior staff members, providing guidance and support as needed
• Perform basic retail math calculations to ensure accurate pricing and inventory management.
• Generate eCommerce listing on popular online eAuctions sites and our own web store using Shopify.
• Clean, test, research, describe, price and photograph devices (retro/new-age game systems, smart phones, tablets, etc.)
• Price devices based on previous sales, research and management guidance.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and maintain a high standard of customer service.

Experience

• Previous experience in retail sales or a carrier environment is preferred but not required.
• Shopify/eBay/Amazon site selling experience is a must.
• Strong cash handling skills with familiarity in operating POS systems.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
• Familiarity with video games and systems, smart phones, tablets, laptops.
• Basic understanding of retail math concepts for inventory management and sales tracking.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
• A proactive attitude towards learning new products and services offered in the store.
• Strong organizational skills to maintain stock levels and ensure a tidy sales area.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $20.00 per hour
