Maintenance Supervisor

Backup: Maintenance Manager

Scope: Responsible for driving a positive culture for the maintenance department. Assist the department in meeting maintenance KPIs that drive continuous improvement for equipment and building maintenance alike. 

Responsibilities:

· Hands on leadership for a maintenance team supporting 24/7 production needs.

· Develops PM schedules, maintenance procedures and ensures comprehensive and timely implementation.

· Carries out inspections of the facilities to proactively identify and resolve issues 

· Maintains electrical and hydraulic systems of buildings to ensure functionality 

· Comprehensively plans and ensures timely completion of Capital projects with help of Manager.

· Oversees all repair and installation activities as instructed by Manager

· Creates and leads a professional maintenance shop, controls maintenance tools, stores and equipment, monitors and maintains appropriate equipment and parts inventory 

· Provides quotes of tools, machinery or equipment that needs to be replaced as well as a estimated time 

· Efficiently schedules the maintenance team to cover all shifts based on needs and skills.

· Keeps maintenance logs and reports on daily activities

· Diagnoses breakdown problems, develops sustainable solutions to prevent in the future

· Delivers appropriate training to production staff for proper machine operation

· Positively and effectively deals with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs.

· Creates documentation to support SOP's and other guidance documents.

Requirements:

· Clear communication skills in (writing and speaking). Bilingual is highly preferred.

· Good interpersonal skills (Active listening, flexibility, patience, collaborating and working well together with others)

· Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment and near moving machinery.

· Must be able to perform repetitive tasks such as stand, walk, bend, lift, kneel, reach, climb stairs and work in different environments (cold/wet/hot) throughout the shift in order to complete the variety of tasks assigned.

· Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
