Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled
Snowflake Data Engineer
with strong experience in retail and commercial banking domains. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in modern data platforms—particularly Snowflake—and demonstrate the ability to work with enterprise data processes, analytical tools, and financial product datasets. Experience with EDP data mapping or familiarity with EDF/DCAF processes is a significant plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines to support analytics, reporting, and downstream applications.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand data needs across
retail banking, commercial banking, investments, and trading
domains. - Perform data analysis, profiling, and mapping using enterprise data models (EDP).
- Develop and maintain data ingestion, transformation, and storage processes in
Snowflake
. - Leverage tools such as
DBeaver, AWS Athena, SQL, and the Snowflake console
for data exploration, validation, and troubleshooting. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality, accuracy, and alignment with enterprise standards.
- Support data governance initiatives, including metadata management and documentation.
- Participate in performance tuning, optimization, and continuous improvement of data workflows.
- Contribute expertise to EDF/DCAF processes and integrate these into data engineering workflows where applicable.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
- Strong experience with
Snowflake
, including data modeling, transformation, and performance tuning. - Hands-on expertise with
SQL
and analytical tools such as
DBeaver
and
Athena
. - Broad understanding of
banking products
, including deposits, loans, commercial products, investments, and trading. - Experience with enterprise data pipelines, ETL/ELT development, and data quality best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
