Position Summary
Trove seeks an experienced
Part-Time Proposal Writer
to support business development efforts across global tourism markets. The ideal candidate has a strong background in
tourism
,
international development
, and
marketing strategy
, and is highly skilled at writing persuasive, structured proposals for RFPs and development projects. This is a contract role with flexible hours, supporting Trove's leadership team on priority bids.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, edit, and structure proposals for tourism-focused projects including destination marketing, strategy, product development, MICE development, digital campaigns, and community-based tourism.
- Translate RFP/TOR requirements into clear methodologies, workplans, and technical approaches.
- Support creation of budgets, workplans, deliverables tables, CVs, capability statements, and related proposal materials.
- Review and refine content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance with client requirements.
- Collaborate with the CEO and senior team to shape strategic positioning for each bid.
- Conduct background research on destinations, tourism trends, competitor strategies, and client needs.
- Maintain consistency with Trove's tone, brand, templates, and case study library.
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of experience writing proposals for tourism, destination development, economic development, consulting, or international development projects.
- Demonstrated experience responding to RFPs or TORs from tourism boards, ministries, development banks, or international organizations.
- Strong understanding of tourism marketing, visitor experience, research methods, and common tourism project structures.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and structuring skills with high attention to detail.
