DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality therapy services to patients in schools, skilled nursing facilities, and our outpatient clinics. This role involves working with diverse populations, including children, adults, and seniors, to help them achieve their highest level of functional independence.
1. Patient Care:
Assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans.
Provide therapeutic interventions to improve daily living and work skills.
Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatments as needed.
2. Collaboration and Communication:
Work collaboratively with Occupational Therapists, other healthcare professionals, school staff, and family members.
Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and team members to ensure comprehensive care.
3. Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company standards.
4. Professional Development:
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
- Stay current with best practices and advancements in occupational therapy.
- Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Current state licensure and certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
