Key responsibilities
· Project delivery: Lead the full project lifecycle from initiation through close‑out for complex, multi‑team initiatives; produce and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, resource plans and detailed estimates.
· Execution & control: Manage day‑to‑day execution, track progress against milestones, control scope, monitor costs and ensure deliverables meet quality and acceptance criteria.
· Change management: Assess and communicate proposed changes to activities, schedules, costs, benefits or impacts to the project sponsor; manage change control according to approved governance.
· Stakeholder engagement: Act as primary point of contact for sponsors, business owners and technical leads; run steering committees, status forums and regular executive reporting.
· Vendor & contract management: Manage relationships and contractual obligations with third‑party vendors; ensure vendor deliverables, SLAs and invoices align with project plans.
· Risk & issue management: Identify, document, assign and track project risks and issues through to resolution; maintain RAID logs and escalate appropriately.
· Benefits realisation & acceptance: Confirm achievement of objectives, verify and document project results and secure formal sponsor acceptance of project outputs.
· Governance & reporting: Establish and maintain programme/project governance, reporting cadence, KPIs and artefacts (business case updates, RAID, change requests, lessons learned).
Required experience & qualifications
· Experience: 7+ years' project management experience delivering complex, multi‑discipline projects; demonstrable experience managing projects for financial services or large enterprise clients preferred.
· Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, IT or related field (or equivalent experience).
· Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent strongly preferred.
· Technical skills: Proficient with project tools (MS Project, JIRA/Confluence, Smartsheet or equivalent), MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint), and basic financial tracking/reporting.
· Vendor/contract experience: Proven track record managing third‑party suppliers and commercial contract deliverables.

· Leadership: Able to lead cross‑functional teams, influence senior stakeholders and drive decisions in ambiguous environments.
· Communication: Clear, concise executive reporting and stakeholder management; comfortable presenting to sponsors and steering committees.
· Delivery focus: Strong planning, prioritisation and problem‑solving skills with a track record of delivering to time, cost and quality.
· Commercial awareness: Ability to manage budgets, forecast costs and challenge vendor invoices and scope creep.
· Risk‑aware: Proactive in identifying risks and implementing mitigations; disciplined about governance and auditability.
· Adaptability: Comfortable working in hybrid delivery models and with agile, waterfall or blended methodologies.
Success measures & KPIs
· Projects delivered on time and within budget against baseline plans.
· Sponsor satisfaction and formal acceptance of deliverables at close‑out.
· Effective management of vendor performance (SLAs met, issues resolved).
· Accurate, timely reporting and transparent change control (number and impact of approved changes).
· Demonstrable benefits realisation against agreed business case metrics.
Must come from Insurance or Capital Markets background
Practical details
· Location: To be agreed with Springfield or Boston
· Reporting line: Reports to Head of Delivery and Project Management (MM).
· Travel: Occasional travel to client sites and vendor locations may be required.
