We are seeking certified and experienced Forklift Operators to join our dynamic logistics team in San Diego, California. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and containers, ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Transport inventory to and from designated storage areas.
- Perform routine inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Accurately stack and stage merchandise according to warehouse layout and safety standards.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and location verification.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, company policies, and PPE requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, especially around the forklift operating areas.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow.
- Understand the principles of logistics and supply chain management related to material handling.
- May require occasional lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification required.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Strong understanding of material handling and logistics operations.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, climbing, and occasional lifting.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Commitment to safety and proper use of PPE.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
