We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Warehouse Technician to join our dynamic logistics team in Orlando, Florida. As a Warehouse Technician, you will be instrumental in maintaining the operational efficiency and integrity of our warehouse facility. This role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting, maintenance, and minor repairs of warehouse equipment, ensuring a safe and productive working environment. You will be responsible for performing routine inspections, identifying potential issues, and implementing corrective actions to prevent downtime. Your expertise will directly contribute to the smooth flow of goods and materials through our supply chain. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks, forklifts (certification provided if needed), conveyor systems, and shelving units.
- Conduct regular safety checks and inspections of the warehouse environment, identifying and reporting any hazards or non-compliance with safety regulations.
- Assist with the inventory management system, ensuring accurate records of equipment and parts.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Operate various warehouse machinery safely and efficiently as required.
- Collaborate with the warehouse management team to implement improvements in operational processes and efficiency.
- Support the logistics team in daily warehouse operations as needed, which may involve some lifting of materials up to 50 lbs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored.
- Respond to maintenance requests promptly and efficiently.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance technical skills and safety awareness.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar technical or maintenance role within a warehouse or industrial setting is preferred.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Commitment to upholding high standards of safety and adherence to PPE guidelines.
- Physical ability to perform tasks that involve frequent lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
