Join our expanding logistics facility in Milwaukee, Wisconsin as a Picker/Packer! We are seeking motivated individuals to ensure the accurate and efficient processing of customer orders. In this essential role, you will be responsible for locating and retrieving items from warehouse shelves using state-of-the-art scanning equipment, and then meticulously packing them for shipment. Your precision and speed are vital to maintaining our high standards of customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. This position requires you to be physically active, involving periods of standing, walking, and handling various product sizes, including items that may require lifting. Safety is paramount in our operations, and all employees are expected to strictly follow all safety guidelines, including the diligent use of PPE. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using handheld scanners and order manifests.
- Verify the accuracy of picked items against order details to prevent errors.
- Pack orders using appropriate materials to ensure product safety during transit.
- Apply correct shipping labels and prepare orders for dispatch.
- Conduct visual inspections of items to ensure quality standards are met.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks, safely as required.
- Strictly adhere to all company safety regulations and procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve daily order fulfillment goals.
- Contribute positively to the overall logistics workflow and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a warehouse, order fulfillment, or packing role is preferred.
- Familiarity with RF scanners and basic warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods, and perform duties involving lifting up to 45 lbs.
- Understanding of logistics processes and safety protocols within a warehouse setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to consistently wear required PPE.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic are essential.
