We are seeking a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Nashville, Tennessee. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting regular audits, and implementing strategies to optimize inventory levels. Your attention to detail and understanding of warehouse logistics are crucial for success. You will work closely with warehouse staff to ensure proper stock rotation, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions. A strong commitment to Safety, including proper handling and storage techniques, and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is essential. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the integrity of our inventory and the efficiency of our supply chain operations. Responsibilities:
- Oversee and maintain accurate inventory counts and records.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
- Monitor stock levels and identify potential shortages or overages.
- Work with operations teams to ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO).
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Ensure compliance with all Safety regulations and guidelines, including proper Lifting techniques.
- Wear required PPE at all times, especially when in the warehouse.
- Support logistics and shipping/receiving departments with accurate inventory information.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehousing, or logistics.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting up to 40 pounds.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and adherence to all protocols.
