Join our growing logistics team in Richmond, Virginia, as a Material Handler! This role is critical for ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of materials within our warehouse. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials, operating material handling equipment, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Safety is a top priority, and adherence to all safety protocols, including the mandatory use of appropriate PPE, is expected. This position requires individuals who are physically fit, capable of frequent Lifting, and possess a strong commitment to accuracy and efficiency. Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics setting is advantageous, but a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are equally valued. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
- Organize and stock materials in designated locations.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and report discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment.
- Follow all safety regulations and wear required PPE at all times.
Requirements:
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks, including Lifting up to 60 lbs.
- Experience operating material handling equipment is preferred.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to PPE guidelines.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
