Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and organized Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team in Minneapolis. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory, ensuring that all stock levels are precise and readily available for our operations. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of inventory management. You will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions to prevent future errors. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a deep understanding of warehouse operations and inventory control best practices.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure data accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and recommending solutions.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Monitor stock levels and report on potential shortages or overages.
  • Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to improve inventory processes.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of all inventory items.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Assist in the training of new inventory control staff.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in WMS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be able to perform tasks requiring moderate Lifting (up to 30 lbs).
  • Understanding of general warehouse and logistics operations is a plus.
  • Commitment to Safety protocols.
