We have an exciting opening for an Order Picker in Sacramento, California. As an Order Picker, you will play a crucial role in our warehouse operations by accurately and efficiently retrieving items from storage to fulfill customer orders. Your primary focus will be on locating products, scanning them, and preparing them for the packing and shipping process. This role requires attention to detail, speed, and a commitment to accuracy to ensure our customers receive exactly what they ordered. We are looking for energetic individuals who are reliable and can work well in a fast-paced logistics environment. You will be provided with training on our picking systems and equipment. Teamwork and adherence to safety protocols, including the use of necessary PPE, are essential. This is a fantastic chance to contribute to our supply chain and develop your skills within a supportive team. We emphasize efficiency and accuracy in all our operations. Your ability to navigate the warehouse and locate items quickly will be key. Maintaining a safe working area and using proper lifting techniques are also priorities.
Responsibilities:
- Read order sheets or use scanning equipment to identify items to be picked.
- Accurately retrieve items from designated storage locations.
- Scan items to update inventory systems.
- Place picked items into appropriate containers for packing.
- Operate electric pallet jacks and other picking equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, including the use of PPE.
- Meet established picking quotas and quality standards.
- Follow safe lifting procedures when handling items.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work at a fast pace. Understanding of logistics and warehouse workflows. Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods. Commitment to safety and correct use of PPE is required.
