We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Indianapolis, Indiana. The Inventory Clerk will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting regular cycle counts, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods within the warehouse. This role is crucial to our supply chain operations, requiring a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy. You will work closely with the warehouse management team to identify and resolve discrepancies, implement inventory control procedures, and support overall warehouse efficiency. A strong understanding of inventory management principles and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential. Attention to detail is paramount in this role to ensure that our inventory data is always reliable. You will be trained on our proprietary inventory management software and best practices in warehouse operations. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is also highly valued. Regular lifting may be involved. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in inventory control or a related field. Responsibilities:
- Accurately track and record inventory levels.
- Conduct physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain organized inventory storage areas.
- Assist with receiving and shipping processes as needed.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
- Support logistics operations by providing accurate inventory data.
- Perform data entry and generate inventory reports.
- Handle tasks involving moderate lifting.
