Our Austin, Texas facility is seeking a reliable and efficient Material Handler to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and timely movement of materials throughout our warehouse. This includes receiving, stocking, and distributing materials, as well as assisting with shipping and order fulfillment. You will operate various types of equipment and follow strict safety protocols to ensure a secure and productive work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials and shipments.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Stock and organize materials on shelves, racks, or other storage locations.
- Assist in picking and packing orders as needed.
- Load and unload materials for outbound shipments.
- Perform routine checks on material handling equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Support inventory control efforts by accurately tracking material movements.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient logistics flow and meet operational targets.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler, Warehouse Worker, or in a related logistics role.
- Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks is essential. Certification preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the critical importance of PPE.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Flexibility to work different shifts as needed.
