Join our fast-paced warehouse operations in Chicago, Illinois, as a Picker/Packer! We are looking for energetic and reliable individuals to accurately pick customer orders and prepare them for shipment. This role is essential to our logistics process, ensuring that our customers receive the correct items quickly and efficiently. You will be working in a dynamic environment where accuracy, speed, and safety are paramount. A keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to following procedures are key to excelling in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order lists or scanner data.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Package items securely and appropriately for shipment, using various packing materials.
- Label packages with shipping information and other required documentation.
- Operate pallet jacks or other material handling equipment as needed.
- Conduct quality checks on packed items before they are sent to shipping.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety guidelines, including proper lifting techniques and the use of required PPE.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily picking and packing targets.
- Assist with inventory management tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a picking, packing, or warehouse role is beneficial.
- Ability to read and understand order forms and product labels.
- Proficiency in using RF scanners and other warehouse technology.
- Good physical stamina; must be able to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain operations is a plus.
- Commitment to following safety protocols and wearing necessary PPE.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
