We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Cincinnati, Ohio. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts safely and efficiently to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role is crucial to our warehouse operations, ensuring the smooth flow of goods from receiving to dispatch. You will work closely with our warehouse associates and supervisors to maintain inventory accuracy and meet production goals. Your primary duties will involve loading and unloading trucks, transporting materials within the facility, and performing pre-operational checks on equipment. Adherence to all safety protocols is paramount, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow instructions, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Regular lifting may be required as part of the job duties, so a good level of physical fitness is beneficial. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, electric, propane) in a safe and efficient manner.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform daily inspections and maintenance checks on forklifts.
- Verify the accuracy of shipments and identify any discrepancies.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.
- Adhere strictly to all company policies and procedures, especially those concerning safety and the use of PPE.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge in logistics and safety.
- Must be able to perform tasks involving lifting up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift certification.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics.
- Knowledge of safe material handling practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
