We are seeking a reliable and efficient Material Handler to join our logistics team in Provo, Utah. This role is crucial for maintaining the smooth flow of materials within our warehouse. Your primary responsibilities will include receiving, unloading, storing, and staging materials. You will operate essential warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, to move goods throughout the facility. Ensuring accuracy in inventory handling and maintaining a clean, organized workspace are key aspects of this position. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming materials from suppliers and carriers.
- Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Move materials to designated storage locations within the warehouse.
- Stage materials for production or outgoing shipments.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through proper handling and documentation.
- Ensure warehouse areas are clean, organized, and free from hazards.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with regular inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient logistics operations.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, up to 60 pounds, consistently.
- Forklift certification is a plus, but training may be provided.
- Understanding of warehouse logistics and material flow.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Commitment to safety and proper PPE usage.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks for an entire shift.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
