We are looking for a motivated Distribution Center Associate to join our growing team in Detroit, Michigan. This role is fundamental to the success of our distribution operations, involving the efficient handling of goods within the center. You will be involved in various aspects of the warehouse, including receiving, stocking, picking, and packing. The ideal candidate possesses a strong work ethic, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to Safety and efficiency. This position offers a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a critical part of the logistics chain. You'll be working in a team-oriented environment where collaboration and precision are highly valued. We are committed to providing a safe workplace and expect all associates to adhere to our Safety guidelines and use all provided PPE.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming inventory.
- Pick, pack, and stage orders for shipment.
- Operate material handling equipment safely (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts if certified).
- Maintain accurate inventory records.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Participate in inventory control activities.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center setting preferred.
- Ability to handle moderate to heavy Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong understanding of Safety best practices.
- Familiarity with basic Logistics operations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be comfortable wearing required PPE.
- Basic math and reading skills.
