Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous Inventory Clerk to join our logistics team in Baltimore, Maryland. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory data, ensuring that our warehouse operations run smoothly and efficiently. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be key to managing stock levels, conducting audits, and supporting our supply chain. Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management system (WMS) software.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to verify stock levels.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming inventory, ensuring proper documentation.
  • Organize and maintain inventory storage areas, ensuring proper placement, labeling, and stock rotation.
  • Process inventory adjustments, transfers, and returns in a timely manner.
  • Generate inventory reports for management, highlighting key metrics and trends.
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff and other departments to ensure smooth inventory flow and efficient logistics.
  • Monitor stock levels and report any potential shortages or overages to relevant personnel.
  • Assist in the implementation and enforcement of inventory control policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required in the warehouse environment.
  • Support with any required lifting of inventory items up to 40 pounds during audits or organization tasks.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience as an Inventory Clerk, Inventory Control Specialist, or in a similar role within a logistics or warehouse setting.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
  • Willingness to adhere to safety guidelines and use PPE as directed.
