Seeking a diligent Material Handler to join our bustling warehouse operations in Kansas City, Missouri. This role is essential for the smooth functioning of our supply chain, ensuring materials are moved efficiently and safely throughout the facility. You will be responsible for operating various types of equipment to transport, load, and unload materials, as well as assisting with inventory management. A strong understanding of warehouse Logistics and a commitment to Safety are crucial. We provide comprehensive training and require the consistent use of appropriate PPE . This position involves significant physical activity, including frequent Lifting of heavy items. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and into storage areas.
- Transport materials to and from production areas or shipping docks.
- Assist with inventory counts and maintaining accurate stock levels.
- Inspect equipment daily to ensure it is in good working order.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety regulations and company policies.
- Wear all required PPE , including safety shoes, gloves, and eye protection.
- Identify and report any hazards or unsafe conditions immediately.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of warehouse Logistics .
- Perform tasks that require consistent Lifting of materials weighing up to 60 pounds.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler, Forklift Operator, or in a similar role.
- Valid forklift certification is preferred.
- Proficiency in operating various material handling equipment.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including substantial Lifting and carrying.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse Logistics and inventory management.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and proper use of PPE .
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
