Operate a forklift and contribute to the smooth functioning of our warehouse in Charlotte, North Carolina, as a Forklift Operator. This role is vital for moving materials efficiently and safely throughout our distribution center. You will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, transporting goods to and from storage areas, and assisting with inventory management. A strong focus on Safety, attention to detail, and proficiency in operating various types of forklifts are essential. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (counterbalance, reach truck, etc.) to move, stack, load, and unload materials.
- Perform pre-operation inspections on forklifts to ensure they are in safe working condition.
- Transport raw materials, finished products, and other goods throughout the warehouse.
- Assist in receiving and shipping operations by moving inventory as directed.
- Accurately pick and stage orders for outbound shipment.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area, adhering to all Safety regulations.
- Participate in inventory control activities, including cycle counting.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Wear all required PPE, including safety shoes, vests, and any other specified gear.
- Support general warehouse operations and Logistics tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift operator certification required.
- Proficiency with various types of forklifts and material handling equipment.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting up to 70 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Familiarity with Logistics and inventory management systems is a plus.
