We are looking for a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our logistics team in Orlando, Florida. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring that all outbound shipments are accurately processed, documented, and dispatched efficiently. Your responsibilities will include verifying order details, preparing shipping labels, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining shipping records. A strong understanding of shipping procedures and a commitment to accuracy are key. We maintain a high standard for safety, and all employees must strictly adhere to safety protocols and utilize the required PPE. While this role is primarily administrative, it is a critical link in the logistics chain.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and verify all outgoing shipment orders.
- Generate accurate shipping labels and packing slips.
- Prepare documentation required for various shipping carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS, USPS).
- Coordinate with carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Track shipments and provide status updates as needed.
- Maintain organized shipping logs and records.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external partners.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Perform quality checks on packages before dispatch.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety procedures and utilize appropriate PPE.
- May involve some light lifting or moving of packages.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar logistics role.
- Proficiency in shipping software and carrier platforms.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and proper PPE usage.
