In this role you will undertake demand analysis to inform future service design and assist with the planning, implementation, management and monitoring of the delivery of projects.
Key responsibilities
Conduct research for the Force’s strategic and delivery plans, including process mapping, continuous improvement tools, and focus groups with staff.
Support project progress by managing timeliness and quality, rescheduling resources, and negotiating timescales to minimise slippage.
Provide day‑to‑day assistance with planning and monitoring to ensure on‑time implementation.
Produce statistical information and comprehensive written reports with accurate management information and status updates.
Attend meetings to discuss progress, take action on issues, and raise significant matters to the Project Manager.
Maintain an audit trail of information and its source to ensure accuracy and integrity.
Liaise with internal departments, districts, senior managers, other forces and external bodies to facilitate delivery and maintain awareness of policing issues and inspections.
May be required to work outside normal hours and travel within or outside the Force area.
Skills and experience
Experience of research design, methodology and analysis.
Degree‑level education in an appropriate subject or equivalent work experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to prioritise work and meet specified time scales.
Knowledge of strategy and planning.
Knowledge of business models and continuous improvement models.
