We are seeking a meticulous Shipping Clerk for our facility in Fort Worth, Texas! This role is essential for ensuring that all outgoing shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and on time. You will be responsible for preparing shipping documents, verifying order details, coordinating with carriers, and ensuring that packages are correctly labeled and dispatched. Your attention to detail and organizational skills are critical to maintaining the integrity of our logistics operations and ensuring customer satisfaction. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process shipping documentation (e.g., bills of lading, shipping labels).
- Verify order accuracy against shipping manifests.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for pickups and deliveries.
- Track shipments and provide updates to relevant parties.
- Inspect outgoing packages for proper packaging and labeling.
- Maintain accurate shipping records.
- Communicate with internal departments to resolve shipping discrepancies.
- Operate shipping software and equipment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Wear appropriate PPE during all shipping activities.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, including some lifting.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a shipping clerk or in a related logistics role.
- Proficiency with shipping software and order management systems.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of shipping regulations and best practices.
- Familiarity with safe lifting techniques and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
