Join our dynamic team as a Material Handler in Austin, Texas! We are seeking reliable individuals to manage the flow of materials within our busy warehouse. Your responsibilities will include receiving, storing, and distributing materials and products. This involves using equipment such as pallet jacks and potentially forklifts (certification required) to move items efficiently and safely. You will play a critical role in maintaining an organized inventory system and ensuring that materials are readily available for production and shipping needs. A strong emphasis is placed on workplace safety , and you will be required to strictly follow all company policies and wear the provided PPE . This role demands physical capability, including frequent lifting of heavy items, and an understanding of warehouse logistics . Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and store incoming materials.
- Transport materials to and from storage areas and production lines.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment.
- Assist with inventory counts and record keeping.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, including the proper use of PPE .
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Support the efficient flow of goods within the logistics process.
- Perform frequent lifting of items weighing up to 60 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to perform frequent and heavy lifting of up to 60 lbs.
- Proficiency in operating pallet jacks and other basic warehouse equipment.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and the ability to use PPE effectively.
- Basic understanding of inventory management and logistics principles.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work in a physically demanding role.
