Our Los Angeles distribution center is seeking dedicated Picker/Packers to join our team. You will be instrumental in ensuring accurate and timely order fulfillment by picking items and preparing them for shipment. This role is crucial for our logistics chain, requiring precision and efficiency. A strong focus on workplace safety and proper handling techniques, including lifting and PPE usage, is paramount.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order fulfillment systems.
- Verify product information and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Package items securely and apply appropriate shipping labels.
- Stage packed orders for shipment and assist with loading as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and general warehouse area.
- Operate manual pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment responsibly.
- Adhere to all company safety guidelines and procedures.
- Properly wear and utilize all required PPE (e.g., gloves, safety vests).
- Support the broader logistics operations by assisting with inventory checks and other tasks.
- Utilize safe lifting practices for all items handled.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, picking, or packing role is desirable.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment.
- Capacity for standing, walking, and performing lifting tasks up to 50 lbs regularly.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to PPE requirements.
- Familiarity with basic warehouse logistics .
