We are looking for a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our Minneapolis team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and processing all outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery. This position is vital for the smooth functioning of our logistics department and requires a strong commitment to operational efficiency and workplace safety . You will interact with various carriers and internal departments to ensure seamless transit.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading and customs forms.
- Schedule and coordinate pick-ups with shipping carriers.
- Verify shipping information against customer orders.
- Track shipments and provide updates to relevant parties.
- Ensure proper labeling and packaging of all outgoing goods.
- Adhere to company safety regulations, including the use of required PPE .
- Assist with managing shipping supplies inventory.
- Maintain organized shipping records for auditing purposes.
- Support the logistics team in resolving any shipping-related issues.
- Participate in occasional lifting tasks as needed to assist with loading or unloading.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a shipping clerk or in a related administrative role.
- Proficiency in shipping software and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Knowledge of shipping procedures and basic logistics principles.
- Awareness of safety protocols and the importance of PPE .
- Ability to perform light to moderate physical tasks, including occasional lifting .
