We are seeking a skilled Material Handler for our Boise, Idaho location. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the movement, storage, and organization of materials within the warehouse. Your duties will include operating forklifts and other heavy machinery to transport goods, receiving and stocking inventory, and ensuring materials are available for production or shipping. This position requires attention to detail, a strong commitment to safety, and proficiency with material handling equipment, all essential for efficient logistics.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move materials safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, verifying quantities and inspecting for damage.
- Store materials in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper inventory management.
- Transport materials to and from various departments within the facility.
- Assist with receiving, counting, and documenting incoming and outgoing inventory.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Conduct daily pre-operational checks on all equipment.
- Support the logistics team by ensuring timely movement of goods.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and stocktaking activities.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Valid forklift operator certification is required. Proven experience as a material handler or in a similar warehouse role. Ability to perform lifting tasks up to 50 lbs. Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and regulations. Experience with RF scanners and warehouse management systems. Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and wearing all required PPE. Knowledge of logistics and material flow. Good physical stamina and manual dexterity.
