We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Provo, Utah. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for the movement, storage, and organization of materials within our warehouse facility. Your primary focus will be ensuring the efficient and safe flow of goods from receiving to shipping, contributing directly to the overall success of our operations. This position requires a strong commitment to safety protocols and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be interacting with various departments to fulfill material requests and maintain inventory accuracy. The ideal candidate possesses excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading materials from trucks and other transport vehicles.
- Transporting materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse using appropriate equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts).
- Verifying the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation.
- Organizing and maintaining inventory in an orderly and accessible manner.
- Performing regular inspections of warehouse equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety.
- Adhering to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assisting with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Reporting any discrepancies or damages to materials immediately.
- Supporting other warehouse functions as directed by supervisors.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Understanding of basic safety principles in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to following all Safety guidelines.
