We are seeking a meticulous and efficient Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Portland, Oregon. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, ensuring all goods are accurately documented, inspected, and processed according to established procedures. Your keen attention to detail will be crucial in maintaining the integrity of our inventory and supporting the seamless flow of goods through our warehouse. You will be responsible for verifying shipment details against purchase orders, identifying any discrepancies or damages, and properly logging all incoming materials. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations and a commitment to safety. You will work closely with various departments to ensure timely receiving and put-away of stock. A key aspect of this role involves operating basic warehouse equipment and maintaining a clean and organized receiving area. Adherence to all safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory. This role involves regular Lifting of packages up to 50 lbs. Excellent communication skills are essential for coordinating with suppliers and internal teams. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments.
- Verify delivery contents against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies.
- Accurately document all received items in the inventory management system.
- Communicate any issues or discrepancies to management and relevant departments.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Properly use all required PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
