We are seeking a meticulous Receiving Clerk for our logistics center in Nashville, Tennessee. In this critical role, you will be responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and documenting all incoming shipments. Your attention to detail will ensure that our inventory levels are precise and that we are prepared to meet customer demand. You will verify quantities and item codes against purchase orders, identify any discrepancies or damages, and ensure that goods are processed into our system promptly. Safety is a top priority in our warehouse, and all employees must follow strict safety protocols and utilize the appropriate PPE. This position requires a good understanding of warehouse procedures, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle various tasks within a fast-paced logistics environment. While not a primary focus, some tasks may involve light Lifting. The ideal candidate is reliable, possesses excellent communication skills, and is committed to maintaining accuracy in all aspects of their work. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming goods.
- Verify shipments against purchase orders for accuracy.
- Document all received items, noting any damages or discrepancies.
- Enter receiving data into the warehouse management system.
- Stage goods for put-away or further processing.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including the use of PPE.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external vendors.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving or warehouse operations preferred.
- Proficiency in data entry and basic computer skills.
- Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
