We are hiring a diligent Shipping Clerk for our busy facility in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role is central to our logistics operations, ensuring that all outbound shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and on time. You will be responsible for preparing shipping labels, organizing packages, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining shipping documentation. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, a strong understanding of shipping procedures, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. A commitment to safety is essential, and all employees are expected to adhere to strict safety guidelines, including the correct use of PPE. This position may involve some Lifting of packages and requires a good physical condition. Experience with shipping software and carrier portals is advantageous. You will work closely with our warehouse and logistics teams to ensure seamless delivery of products to our customers. Accuracy in documenting shipments and maintaining clear communication channels are key aspects of this role. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and label outgoing shipments.
- Verify package contents and counts against order details.
- Schedule pickups with shipping carriers.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and manifests.
- Ensure all shipments comply with regulatory requirements.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with loading and unloading of trucks as needed.
- Contribute to overall logistics efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping or logistics preferred.
- Familiarity with shipping software and carrier systems.
- Ability to handle physical tasks, including Lifting and moving packages.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
