Join our dynamic logistics team in San Antonio, Texas, as a Material Handler! We are seeking skilled individuals to manage the movement of materials within our warehouse efficiently and safely. Your responsibilities will include operating material handling equipment, loading and unloading trucks, and ensuring materials are stored correctly. This role is essential for maintaining smooth warehouse operations and supporting our production and shipping departments. A thorough understanding of warehouse procedures, safety regulations, and the importance of PPE is required. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and into warehouse storage.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated storage areas.
- Transport materials between different departments or work areas within the facility.
- Perform regular safety checks on equipment and report any issues.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
- Assist with receiving and shipping processes as directed.
- Conduct routine inventory counts and assist in maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Handle lifting of materials up to 70 lbs.
- Contribute to a safe and productive work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating forklifts and other relevant warehouse equipment.
- Strong understanding of material handling techniques and warehouse logistics.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects repeatedly.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and the importance of wearing PPE.
- Good physical stamina and dexterity.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
