We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Material Handler to join our dynamic warehouse team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in the efficient movement and organization of goods within our facility. Your primary responsibilities will involve receiving, unpacking, stocking, and preparing materials for shipment. This role is essential to our daily logistics operations, ensuring that products are handled with care and moved to their designated locations promptly.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment to move materials safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper bracing and securing of cargo.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage or discrepancies.
- Accurately count and record inventory, maintaining precise records.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all housekeeping standards.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, especially regarding safety and operational protocols.
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Follow all Lifting guidelines to prevent injury.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and ability to follow them strictly.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with basic inventory management principles.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
