We are hiring a dedicated Shipping Clerk for our facility in Omaha, Nebraska. This position is critical to ensuring that our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. As a Shipping Clerk, you will be responsible for all aspects of outbound logistics, from order processing to shipment preparation and carrier coordination. The ideal candidate will have experience in shipping operations, knowledge of shipping software, and a strong emphasis on Safety and accuracy. Your daily tasks will include picking and packing orders, verifying shipment details against order documentation, generating shipping labels, preparing bills of lading, and coordinating with various shipping carriers to schedule pickups. You will play a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring that all outbound shipments meet company and carrier standards. The ability to perform moderate Lifting is necessary, as you will be handling boxes and packages of varying sizes and weights. Strict adherence to all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines and warehouse Safety procedures is mandatory. Responsibilities:
- Process outbound orders accurately and efficiently.
- Pick, pack, and prepare items for shipment.
- Verify order details and shipping information.
- Generate shipping labels and documentation.
- Coordinate with carriers for timely pickups and deliveries.
- Ensure compliance with all Safety regulations and company policies.
- Wear and utilize appropriate PPE at all times.
- Perform tasks requiring regular Lifting of shipping containers.
- Maintain a clean and orderly shipping area.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the Logistics department.
