Flutter is seeking a
Lead Enterprise Security Architect
to orchestrate and champion a group‑wide Enterprise Security strategy. Operating in a federated environment, this role reports to the AD of Group Enterprise Security and provides strategic guidance, technical direction, and hands‑on expertise to our security teams across the Group.
About Division/Function Flutter consists of two commercial divisions (FanDuel and International) and our central Flutter Functions; COO, Finance & Legal. Here in Flutter Functions we work with colleagues across all our divisions and regions to deliver something we call the Flutter Edge. It’s what differentiates us, our ‘secret sauce’ which plays a key part in our ongoing success and powers our brands and divisions, through Product, Tech, Expertise and Scale. In Flutter COO we work with experts across Flutter to build, deploy and communicate the Flutter Edge. Together we cover Product & Payments, Technology, Sportsbook Product & Trading, People, Property, Corporate Communications and Strategic Partnerships & Transformation.
What You’ll Do
Strategic Leadership & Roadmap: Define and continuously refine a cohesive enterprise security architecture that supports Flutter’s federated model, aligns with business goals and cyber risk priorities.
Secure Connectivity Strategy: Champion the design and rollout of ZeroTrust architecture across identity, network, application, and data layers. Define ZeroTrust principles, policies, and controls; create road‑maps and implementation plans. This includes supporting the selection of security tooling (IAM, CASB, CSPM, SASE, threat detection, risk analytics).
Global Collaboration: Facilitate collaboration among brand security teams, leading security‑focused working groups where needed. Provide guidance on secure integration between brand systems and shared services.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Stay current on emerging security technologies, industry best practices and threat trends. Evaluate new tools or features and, where beneficial, incorporate them into the strategy. Continuously assess the security program’s maturity across business units and implement improvements to process or technology to elevate weaker areas.
Project and Vendor Management: Oversee group wide security project execution. Manage relationships with relevant product vendors and service providers (remaining vendor neutral). Evaluate and select strategic security products or upgrades in line with the roadmap.
How You’ll Do It
10+ years of experience in Cybersecurity with at least 5 years in Security Architecture.
Proven track record of designing and implementing security solutions in large, complex environments – such as leading a full ZeroTrust deployment or managing Security Architecture governance across multiple business units.
Broad experience in Cybersecurity and Enterprise Infrastructure, with exposure to integrating security controls with a variety of other systems.
Experience working in or with regulated industries or large enterprises is highly desirable.
Mergers and acquisitions integration experience is a plus.
Deep expertise in ZeroTrust architecture, cloud security frameworks (CSPM, CASB, SASE), and regulatory compliance (ISO27001, NIST CSF, PCI‑DSS, GDPR, SOX, gaming regulations).
Scripting or programming skills (PowerShell, Python, etc.) for automation in workflows are advantageous.
Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, SABSA or vendor‑specific security certifications are highly valued.
Strong leadership, strategic thinking, stakeholder management, and mentoring skills.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and the ability to translate technical concepts into business‑friendly language.
