Contract: Permanent Full‑time.
Salary: £58,346 – £64,179 gross per annum (dependent on skills and experience). Hours: Full‑time with flexible working arrangements.
Security: Requires SC Clearance.

Key Responsibilities
Support STFC WAN, sites LAN, routing, Wi‑Fi, firewall and network security, IPAM, network access control, and cloud telephony.
Collaborate with other teams to ensure IT systems and services meet evolving needs.
Participate in and oversee new service transitions.
Required Expertise
Enterprise firewall management.
Network Access Control systems.
Wi‑Fi management systems.
Experience in routers and routing management.
Additional Skills (minimum 3 required)
Managing multi‑site network environments.
Configuring Layer 2 and Layer 3 network switches, including DNS and DHCP services.
Experience with Extreme Cloud IQ Wi‑Fi management system or equivalent and knowledge of a Network Access Control system (preferably Clearpass).
IP Address Management experience using Infoblox solutions or equivalent.
Experience with fibre and cable management.
Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
Security Clearance The role requires National Security Vetting clearance (SC). Eligible candidates must be UK residents for at least 5 years; all DV posts require UK nationals.
