Role Summary As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing, deploying and maintaining our infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance of our applications. This fully remote position requires a strong background in software development, system administration and experience with AWS cloud infrastructures.
Key Responsibilities And Tasks
Focus on day‑to‑day DevOps tasks with a primary focus on GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
Develop, deploy and maintain infrastructure according to best practices.
Implement automated infrastructure capabilities such as backups, security tools and monitoring.
Manage GitLab continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Identify, diagnose and resolve system performance issues.
Ensure the security and integrity of cloud‑based applications and data by implementing best cloud security practices.
Monitor cloud instances and services for performance and cost optimisation.
Collaborate with development teams to integrate project changes and ensure system stability.
Document system processes for future reference and problem resolution.
Maintain our EC2 GitLab Runner fleet.
Provide DevOps support and maintenance for Adobe Commerce, PMS and Labelling application environments.
Handle incident management and root cause analysis.
Maintain and improve infrastructure monitoring and dashboards to ensure visibility into system performance and health.
Key Skills Required
Proficiency in AWS cloud services.
Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools such as GitLab CI or similar.
Familiarity with IaC tools such as CloudFormation.
Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
Strong communication skills for effective cross‑functional collaboration.
Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch and New Relic.
Understanding of network security and best practices in cloud security.
Proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript.
Experience maintaining and improving infrastructure monitoring and dashboards.
Knowledge of Adobe Commerce (desirable).
Experience with integration using Playwright (desirable).
Certifications in cloud platforms or DevOps practices (desirable).

Competitive salary of £70,000 ‑ £80,000.
6 weeks leave a year (5 weeks annual leave + Bank Holidays or equivalent).
