Über

As an IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for the planning, execution and successful delivery/leading of Group IT projects. You will lead projects, plan resources and govern those projects according to strict deadlines and within set and agreed budget, while adhering to relevant Mueller policies (especially GO), rules and guidelines. You will also be responsible for the execution and compliance of Project Management Governance (portfolio management, resource management, PM trainings, etc.). The role is located Market Drayton in Shropshire; a hybrid working model applies with 3 days on site.
Responsibilities
Work with key stakeholders, project team and others when relevant
Facilitate the definition of the project scope, requirements and deliverables using Mueller standard documentation
Define project tasks (work breakdown structure) and resource requirements using Mueller standard documentation
Manage the project budget in line with business expectations and budgetary commitments
Develop, control and communicate the project plan, timeline and milestones
Track and report project deliverables to the project team and stakeholders
Manage Risk, Issues and Changes on an ongoing basis
Ensure that any deliverables requiring support in steady state are handed over to the relevant teams
Ensure that UTM Legal and Procurement processes are followed
Ensure that project audit responsibilities are met
Close the project, ensuring lessons learned are documented
Follow applicable policies, framework, standards and guidelines that have been identified for the particular project
Ensure that GPOs are involved and aligned with group project
Fulfil role as PMO of Group IT Projects
Responsible for acquiring resources (internal and nominated 3rd party, if required) and co‑ordinating the effort of the team members in order to deliver projects according to plan and budget
Assemble and co‑ordinate project team (Business, IT and External)
Negotiate with resource owners and, as required, ensure that project targets are provided for project resource
Identify Roles and Responsibilities for the project team
Where 3rd party contract negotiations are required, the Project Manager will work with the relevant procurement team to ensure that procedures are followed
Ensure that appropriate project team training is planned for
Identify and liaise with Key Stakeholders to provide applicable governance for the project
Identify and agree participation of Project Sponsor (GPO)
Where required – creation of the Project Board and Project Steering Groups
Regularly monitor and report progress to all stakeholders and the steering group
Provide communication to all project members and stakeholders
Project Management: Methodology, Trainings/PM Coach and PM tool owner (classic, agile)
Develop and implement Multi Project Management/Portfolio Management incl. escalation and prioritisation rules
Build up group wide resource planning to optimise project management
Steer and report status and performance of group wide projects (across interdisciplinary E2E processes)

Qualifications
Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant subject
Basic experience in project management, e.g. Qualification in Project Management methodology (Prince2, PMI, APM or equivalent)
Excellent Microsoft Office skills
Excellent English written and verbal communication skills; German or Polish would be advantageous
Strategic thinking and experience in project management / lead
Distinct goal and solution orientation as well as economic thinking & acting
Strong process orientation and analytical competence (across different End‑to‑End processes)
Ability to actively advance projects and manage change processes, incl. cultural ones
Power to drive change through the whole UTM organization
General commercial and business management know‑how
Strong decision‑making competence
2‑5 years work experience with background in strategy consulting (min. 2‑3 years)
Demonstrable confidence levels to engage with project managers and more senior stakeholders within the organisations
Passionate team player with hands‑on mentality
Ability to work on several parallel workstreams
High ability to solve conflicts and problems, assertiveness and resilience
Motivation to develop and grow
Willingness to frequently travel (mainly in Europe and UK)
