JR-86188Job Summary:**Company:** DF Concerts & Events**Department:** Marketing & Communications**Location:** Glasgow**Reports to:** Head of Marketing & Communications**Working hours:** Full time plus additional event working as required**Job Type:** Fixed term, maternity cover**Role Description**As Design Lead, you are responsible for leading the visual identity of the company’s brands, events, and marketing materials. You will manage and mentor the Junior Designer, ensuring high-quality design output and alignment with brand guidelines. This role involves conceptualising, designing, and executing creative solutions for digital and print media, supporting event production, and enhancing audience engagement.**What it’s like to work in the Team**The Marketing and Communications team at DF Concerts is made up of a diverse group of individuals, all sharing a passion for what they do in their roles. We all share a joint passion for selling out events and building the brands we work across to achieve our common goals.**Who you are****Competencies / Skills / Knowledge / Experience*** Proven professional experience in graphic design, preferably within the live events or entertainment industry.* Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite.* Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.* Experience in team leadership and management, including mentoring and workload distribution.* Experience with motion graphics, 3D design, or video editing is a plus.* Strong understanding of the design process, from brief to final execution, and all key delivery channels.* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.* Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality and consistency.* Demonstrable experience in following and executing under design brand guidelines.* Experience of accurately preparing design artwork for print and understanding the print production process.* Experience of creating design artwork for social media and digital advertising.* Understanding of current design trends and music industry marketing.**Behaviours*** You have a passion for music, taking great pride in playing your part in delivering first-class, life-affirming events to fans of all ages, backgrounds, and genres.* You are discreet, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.* You are consistently conscientious, organised, analytical, supportive, and helpful.* You are a natural collaborator, working cross-functionally and at all levels, internally and externally.* You think creatively.* You are trusted, dynamic, proactive, confident, self-directed, thrive when empowered and always a few steps ahead.* Your communication skills are influential, strong, and effective.* You are courteous and respectful and believe strongly in creating a healthy, equal working environment.* You have strength of character with a calm and diplomatic approach, always mindful of the end goal.* You have a flexible “can do” approach to working to ensure the job gets completed.**Responsibilities*** Develop and execute visual concepts for all DF brands across a variety of platforms to drive sales, engagement, and brand awareness.* Ensure all designs align with the brand guidelines.* Manage and mentor the design team to develop talent, foster high performance, and encourage continuous learning.* Manage workload distribution effectively to ensure timely project completion.* Collaborate with the wider DF team, freelancers, and agencies to develop creative assets for festivals and events.* Oversee the design process from concept to final production, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.* Create signage, stage designs, festival merchandise, digital visuals, and other physical event branding materials, ensuring artwork is correctly prepared for print and adheres to print production standards.* Implement and maintain a consistent proofing process within the design team, ensuring all work is thoroughly checked before being shared with stakeholders.* Stay up to date with design trends, industry best practices, and new tools to keep the company’s visuals fresh and competitive.* Support the team with additional responsibilities as needed.**Equal Opportunities**We are passionate and committed to our people and go beyond the rhetoric of diversity and inclusion.
