We’re looking for an experienced Area Sales Manager, ideally based in or near Bristol. This is a field‑based role covering Avon, Bristol, Devon, Cornwall and Somerset. Champion Health & Safety procedures at all times to protect yourself and others. Build strong customer relationships through regular contact to protect and grow sales. Identify and pursue new opportunities across existing and emerging markets. Monitor customer financial/commercial activity to maximise revenue. Provide practical technical advice to uphold Knauf’s reputation for excellence. Use CRM daily for call/activity reporting and project tracking. Promptly administer terms, rebates, and project‑support documents to ensure accurate invoicing. Maintain a live territory plan with customer segmentation to drive growth. Support product launches and events; collaborate with National Account teams on regional supply‑chain compliance. Create and optimise pricing documents in CRM/SAP to drive profitable business. What We'd Love For You To Have
Strong market insight to understand development opportunities. Proven track record in customer‑facing roles within the construction sector. Advanced solution‑selling skills to turn opportunities into measurable value. Self‑starter: plans calls, prioritises pipeline, and maximises customer time. Skilled negotiator with a talent for building and sustaining relationships. Converts opportunities into sales and nurtures them into stable, long‑term business. Able to establish and maintain high‑quality strategic partnerships with clients. Collaborative team player who builds effective cross‑department relationships. Educated, numerate and literate; confident with percentages, margins and discount structures. Confident and competent at presenting solutions and value propositions. Digitally fluent: proficient with CRM, MS Suite and mobile applications. We Will Provide
A competitive salary of around £50,000 plus bonus and package Three paid days leave for community, charitable, or voluntary commitments. 7% employer pension contribution.
