Overview This person will be responsible for delivering advanced technical support to clients both remotely and on-site. The role involves handling escalations from 1st Line, resolving complex technical issues, and contributing to the ongoing improvement of client systems and internal processes.
Key Responsibilities
Provide remote and on-site IT support to clients.
Resolve escalated issues across hardware, software, and network environments.
Manage and troubleshoot Active Directory, Azure AD / Entra ID, and Microsoft 365.
Support networking technologies including switches, firewalls, Wi‑Fi, and VLANs.
Assist with cloud services, backups, and disaster recovery solutions.
Support endpoint and mobile device management solutions (e.g. Intune / MDM).
Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Attend client sites as required.
Key Requirements
Previous experience working for an MSP or within an education IT environment (schools, academies, or trusts).
Proven experience in an IT Support role (1st/2nd Line).
Technical Knowledge
Windows Server.
Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams).
Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls, Wi‑Fi).
A full UK driving licence (or equivalent) is required.
