About The Role
The Business Analyst (DV Clearance) role at CGI presents an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to contribute to high‑security digital transformation projects within the defence and intelligence sectors. Working within CGI’s Secure Innovation & Advisory team, the successful candidate will collaborate closely with clients to understand their needs, analyse business processes and develop strategic solutions that leverage cutting‑edge technologies. This position requires a UK national with or eligible for High‑Level Clearance (HLC) due to the sensitive nature of the work involved. The role offers a blend of remote and onsite working, with onsite presence required for secure system access. As a key member of the team, you will support product ownership, facilitate requirements gathering and contribute to the development of knowledge bases and strategic plans aligned with organisational objectives. The role provides a platform for professional growth, allowing you to shape future directions and develop new skills in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, candidates should possess a strong understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly SAFe, and have proven experience in business process analysis and requirements gathering. Excellent documentation skills are essential, along with the ability to analyse benefits and translate business needs into technical solutions. Candidates must demonstrate strong communication skills, analytical thinking and a proactive approach to problem‑solving. Prior experience working in security‑sensitive environments and familiarity with digital transformation initiatives will be advantageous. A relevant degree or equivalent professional experience in Business Analysis, Information Technology or related fields is preferred. The ideal candidate will be detail‑oriented, collaborative and committed to continuous learning and professional development.
Responsibilities
Assist Product Owners in managing the product backlog, prioritising features and ensuring alignment with client needs and organisational goals.
Conduct comprehensive business process analysis to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements that leverage technological advancements.
Develop and maintain a knowledge base to facilitate information sharing and streamline project workflows.
Support strategic planning activities by aligning technological innovations with the client’s organisational objectives and future growth plans.
Gather, document and validate business requirements, ensuring clarity and completeness for technical teams.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate business needs into technical specifications and user stories.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives, to ensure continuous delivery of value.
Assist in the benefits analysis to measure the impact of implemented solutions and identify areas for further improvement.
Engage with stakeholders at all levels to facilitate effective communication and ensure project alignment with strategic goals.
