Excel in inventory management as an Inventory Control Specialist in our Grand Rapids, Michigan facility. This role is critical for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our vast inventory. You will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, investigating inventory discrepancies, and implementing solutions to prevent future errors. Your work directly impacts our logistics efficiency and customer satisfaction. This position requires a meticulous approach, strong analytical skills, and a dedication to accuracy. You will be involved in receiving processes, put-away, and ensuring proper stock rotation. Adherence to safety standards, including the use of appropriate PPE and safe lifting practices, is mandatory. This role offers a great opportunity to delve deeper into the operational aspects of warehousing and logistics. Key duties include:
- Performing daily cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Maintaining accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Analyzing inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Assisting in the receiving and put-away process to ensure accuracy.
- Implementing and enforcing inventory control procedures.
- Monitoring stock levels and identifying potential stock-outs or overstock situations.
- Collaborating with warehouse and operations teams to improve inventory accuracy.
- Ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
- Participating in process improvement initiatives related to inventory management.
