Join our fast-paced logistics hub in Boston, Massachusetts, as a skilled Reach Truck Operator. This crucial role involves the safe and efficient operation of a reach truck to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. You will be responsible for picking and selecting products for orders, loading and unloading trailers, and ensuring the integrity of stored goods. A keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to safety are paramount. We expect all operators to maintain their equipment in good working order and report any issues immediately. This position requires a proven track record of safe reach truck operation and familiarity with warehouse safety protocols. You will work closely with the warehouse team to ensure smooth operations and timely order fulfillment. We provide comprehensive training on our specific equipment and safety procedures, but prior experience is essential. Requirements include:
- Operating a reach truck to move pallets of goods to and from racking systems.
- Loading and unloading trailers, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Picking and staging orders accurately for shipment.
- Conducting regular inspections of reach truck equipment and reporting any defects.
- Maintaining an organized and clean work area.
- Adhering to all company safety policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assisting with inventory control tasks, such as cycle counting.
- Collaborating with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
- Participating in ongoing safety training sessions.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs.
