We are seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our state-of-the-art distribution center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse. Your expertise in operating various types of forklifts, including counterbalance, reach trucks, and order pickers, will be essential for maintaining optimal workflow. You will load and unload trucks, move inventory to and from storage areas, and assist with order fulfillment processes. Maintaining a high level of safety awareness is critical; you will be expected to strictly adhere to all company protocols and utilize provided PPE at all times. This position demands precision, speed, and a thorough understanding of warehouse operations and logistics . The ability to perform significant lifting , in addition to forklift operation, may be required. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Transport raw materials and finished goods to and from production areas and storage locations.
- Perform routine inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Follow all safety regulations and guidelines, including the use of required PPE .
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics process.
- May involve occasional manual lifting of items.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics .
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and the ability to use PPE .
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
