We are hiring a dedicated Material Handler to join our bustling facility in Seattle, Washington. The Material Handler is responsible for safely and accurately moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting inventory. Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling of all goods.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation.
- Perform routine checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock placement.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area, adhering to all safety guidelines and utilizing appropriate PPE.
- Identify and report any damaged goods or equipment malfunctions.
- Support the logistics team in achieving daily operational goals.
- Ability to perform manual Lifting of heavy items, typically up to 60 lbs, throughout the shift.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role.
- Valid forklift operator certification is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
- Strong physical condition and stamina.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime.
- A commitment to following all Safety protocols.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Familiarity with logistics and inventory control systems.
